David Fincher: It's really a shame you have to go through all this because, about, 3 screen tests in, I kind of made my mind. I was like, this is an idea to fall on a grenade for. I don't KNOW that she can do it, but I know she will fucking try. And I think, if she can be inspired and be supported but not coddled, maybe just cut her loose...she got the gig. We basically chopped all of her hair off, told her to get out of the sun, stop eating,....and she became Lisbeth.
