Surgeon General’s Excoriation of the Day: In order to bring the United States in line with its hockey-playing hat (context), the FDA has proposed adding 36 new graphic warning labels to cigarette packs and ads (three of which are shown above).

The final warning labels will be selected in June, and tobacco companies will have 15 months to implement them, as well as apportion 20% of all ads to warnings.

What say the smokers? Would these dissuade you from your habit?

Yep, we get the good old people with no skin on their throats too :). I like how on the massive cartons they just make the warnings fit practically the whole side so it sounds like they’re shouting :). If you’re buying 100 fags a day you’re probably past the point when warnings are going to work really :D.
