I may not always have the same musical taste as him or understand why he plays the things he does but he’s clearly passionate about the music he loves and that’s refreshing in a world of glorified TV presenters on radio who pretend to like things they don’t care about. It shines through when he talks to people in the music business because you can see how much he respects them and understands their world. He’s built up a rapport with some of them and seems to get the best out of them.

Frank Turner’s jingle for Greg James on Radio 1, for anyone who wants a permanent record of it so they can laugh at him forever :D. Part of what I love about him is his willingness to do things which other people might find slightly embarrassing and throw himself into it, as evidenced by his cover of Dancing Queen which you must look up if you haven’t heard it.
