"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" BD extras
there are 25 videos of different lengths with extras from the Blu-ray. I think they are not all, but they are a good option if you have the dvd.
What I will be watching tonight. Eeeek. This is like Christmas only better.

“It was troubling that one of the few people she trusted was a man she spent so much time avoiding.”
I am getting oddly hypnotised by this.

Ah, so much satisfaction at this moment. Lisbeth isn’t going to take any of your bullshit.

I don’t think I’d seen these before today. I swear there are no bad promotional pictures for this film.

There are a lot of people that see Salander as this kick-ass character, this girl who takes no shit from anyone, and this scene is definitely designed to show that. I always wanted her to be a girl who lashes out, and I like the fact she’s waiting for somebody to do something when this thug steals her backpack, and when no one comes to her aid she deals with the problem in a way she knows how to… I think the thing Rooney understood inherently about the character, [is] the character doesn’t want to have to be that person.
— David Fincher, on the scene where Lisbeth’s backpack is stolen.
I like this and i get it, because what i’ve liked from Lisbeth from reading the books is that deep inside she’s still a little girl trying to hold on to life and to her sanity with whatever she has, the only way she knows how. It’s not that she chose to be a “kick-ass” chic; what she chose was to not give up on herself because she had been dealt a pretty shitty deal. If in the process she has to defend her self, whether with violence or with intellect, she will.
People like to debate who’s portrayal is the best, Mara’s or Rapace’s. I think this is where the difference lies: Rapace’s Lisbeth is primordially angry, she built her body in preparation for the role, she got muscular because she saw her as a tomboy (her own words, not mine) capable of being physically strong and agile. On the other hand Mara’s Lisbeth is a small, anorexic-looking girl, incapable of producing any harm at first glance, but when messed with, she’d defend herself with everything she had, but whose appearance said “please, leave me alone, i don’t want to fight you”; although Mara’s Lisbeth may be angry in some degree, she’s is primordially tired of injustice and only wants to be left alone without having to deal with any kind of authority, or any type of intrusion from anyone, that tells her how to live, because she knows nobody can be trusted.

*Claps* I hadn’t really thought about it much before listening to this commentary but I agree with all of this. Lisbeth just wants to be left alone. She’s had enough shit to deal with already in her life. I think it’s something you see more in The Girl Who Played With Fire, as she basically hides out until she hears about Miriam. She can deal with injustice towards herself but not towards the people she cares about.

Rooney Mara and David Fincher: ADR for TGWTDT
Very inappropriate thoughts right now.
I’m guessing this is from the blu ray? They better not start making the behind the scenes stuff blu ray only content for everything.

hey fi.
Now you’re just encouraging me not to do work.
Of course at the moment the printer decided to print out half of the book I’m making upside down and I’m rapidly getting a headache so it’s not like I need much encouragement to do nothing.
