I flipping love this song. I get the feeling this and Maintain the Madness will be my most played songs on the album.

When I am gone my darling dig me a hole
let flowers grow above me
and wild berries
then laugh and forget me
and before I’m cold
let someone who loves you fill your…

In which Neil is a dirty bastard :D.

This new version of Birthing Pyre is confusing me, I’m not sure if I like it. I kind of like the EP version being a bit rough around the edges. I’m sure I’ll get used to it though.

Wait… fuck you! Yes I guess that’s the phrase I’ve been searching for all of this time
It took a lot of time for me to forgive my carnivorous curiosities
It takes two to tango and two to fuck, I hope in tango you might have more luck
But I’ll propose a toast to you anyway, cos ten months later, I’m OK!The Jane Austen Argument - Song in this Book
I might just spam lyrics I like as I go along. Otherwise I usually forget them.
This is one great FUCK YOU song. I could have done with more songs like this back when my heart got stomped on and I kept falling back into blaming myself.

Cos I’ve got to maintain the madness
Just so the stillness makes sense to me
I’ve got to keep the momentum rolling along
So that no-one can stop me
No-one can drag me
Home. The Jane Austen Argument - Maintain the Madness
This band, I just can’t.

Something that REALLY gets on my nerves
When people say that Bad Wine and Lemon Cake is one of Amanda Palmer’s songs.
No, it’s not. It’s The Jane Austen Argument’s song. They wrote it. They recorded it, it’s on their EP.
(Don’t get me wrong, i love Amanda to pieces, as all of my followers are well aware of. But i just think that TJAA aren’t getting the credit they deserve.)
I haven’t come across this, mostly because very few of the people I come across have heard of The Jane Austen Argument, which NEEDS TO CHANGE. Bad Wine and Lemon Cake is a fabulous song and it’s what introduced me to them so everyone should go and listen to the original now and then download at least The Birthing Pyre because it’s fantastic.
Also, how do people think it’s Amanda’s song? She says that Tom wrote it at the beginning of the version on Amanda Palmer Goes Down Under. People are really dense sometimes.

(some of us don’t get to come even once)The Jane Austen Argument - The Debt Collectors
I see what you did there Tom :D. I really need to buy their album, still. I keep meaning to but then I forget. I should probably just do it now before I forget again.

Sydney Resident Problems.
Um, try living in the UK and not even having the remote chance of being able to see them due to the pesky lack of passport and money. All I can say is that they better tour here properly sometime soon.

Found via Amanda Palmer’s blog.
I’m rather fond of this picture. I was going to repost it myself but then you did it for me :D.
Tom looks really good in a waistcoat, although honestly who doesn’t?
