[Noomi Rapace] soon will start filming Animal Rescue, a crime drama co-starring Tom Hardy.
“I play a girl with a troubled past who has put her life on hold,” she says. “Now she’s trying to find a way to live, not just survive.”
Later this year, she hopes to film Child 44, based on Tom Rob Smith’s 2008 novel about a series of child murders in the 1950s in the Soviet Union. She will play the not-necessarily-devoted wife of an investigating officer.
“There’s nothing I won’t do — be fat, shave my head, be blond,” she said. “I never let my vanity say ‘I don’t want to look ugly.’ ”
