The trailer for director Peter Jackson’s upcoming film based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic fantasy novels will make its worldwide premiere on Tuesday, the studio announced today.

A 15-minute satellite feed of the trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will stream at 10 p.m. ET/PT on the night of Dec. 20 and again the following day at 9 a.m. ET/PT.

I’m never sure if I should watch this film. I read the comic last year and loved it so I’m afraid that I’d just spend the whole thing crying about how much they changed it. I’m not sure if even Stephen Fry could distract me from it.

Good adaptation!

This play has probably my favourite stage direction in Shakespeare ever: ‘enter Don Juan, the bastard’ :). I’ve only seen bits of the film but it has a young Wilson from House in it so I’ll have to watch it one day.
