Rammstein - Mutter
For some reason part of this popped into my head randomly while I was a at work. I tend to go on autopilot nowadays as I’ve done it so many times I barely need to think about what I’m doing, hence why I tend to end up with random songs in my head if I’m not just thinking about what I’ll eat when I get home. I think it’s partly my brain’s way of reminding me of songs I haven’t listened to in far too long as well.

Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Great Britain
I’m from a little place called Great Britain,
but I don’t know if I love or hate Britain
Suddenly had the urge to listen to this song, which I don’t listen to often enough. Generally I don’t listen to them enough, especially this album. I think I prefer Angles overall but this album’s pretty great too.

Mini Mansions - Heart of Glass
Sudden ‘why have I not seen this before?’ and ‘oh no he’s hot’ moments almost simultaneously, whoops.

And at night there’s nothing finer
Than being home with wine
And I’m ignoring all the signs of my own nunnery
But if someone were to love me
They might hold that love above me
And I’d never get enough of all their want and need
Theyd play the game and then I’d lose
I’d rip it up and kill the mood
And then I’d give them attitude
No way
I think I’m staying single.Reblogging this for the hundredth time. Love these guys a lot though :)
Forever one of my favourites. I do wonder how the end will be updated now though.

Just realised that I already know the perfect song for a Hannibal fanvid: FORMIDABLE MARINADE, by Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen. Any takers??
I flat refuse to make a fanvid but FUCK I LOVE THIS SONG.
I’m never quite sure about fanvids but I really do need to listen to this song more often as I’ve never made the link and it would be great.

Queens of the Stone Age - Sick Sick Sick
Still one of my favourite music videos, for many reasons.
-
The Destroyers - Hole in the Universe
I worked out today what the Greek entry for Eurovision this year most reminded me of, aside from Sheelanagig who are also excellent (seriously, look up Vlad the Inhaler, it’s great), which is this song. I haven’t heard much else of their stuff but clearly I should listen to more as this one’s great.

Sheelanagig - Lost in Transitvania
Suddenly in the mood to listen to lots of folk music again. Hope I get to see this lot again sometime soon-ish as they’re great. Any band which has a song called Vlad the Inhaler has to be great. Plus when I first saw them the guitarist played while sitting on the violinist’s shoulders for the last song.

Biffy Clyro - Living is a problem because everything dies (from Puzzle)
Nothing like watching this video to make me feel like I’m back to being sixteen again and first discovering this band. I was pretty screwed from the moment I first saw this video really. I got a ticket to see them for I think my 17th birthday, which was my first gig. It was in a pretty small place compared to the places they play nowadays and I got beer spilled on me but it was still pretty great. Really I don’t see much difference in them playing massive venues nowadays, they play in exactly the same way.

Marmaduke Duke - Kid Gloves
For some reason I completely forgot this existed for a while, which is silly as this song particularly is excellent. I wonder if there will ever be any more Marmaduke Duke, although it does seem like Simon’s busy enough with Biffy nowadays. Who knows, maybe he’ll take a break from it after all of the Opposites stuff is done.
