The new John Green video is real great.

I’m glad we share the same opinion on hickeys.

This is possibly my very favorite John Green video, and that is saying a lot.

Also, hickeys? They make you look like you’re back in eleventh grade when you and another person were fooling around and then they started sucking on your neck and you’re thinking “Well…that’s cool, sort of, I guess, I mean this isn’t actually doing anything for me, but hickeys are a sign of sexual prowess in my warped teenage mind” and then the next morning you have to put on cover-up on your neck except it’s always really obvious because your neck is a different skin tone and your mom knows right away but she doesn’t say anything, she just sits there judging you.

You can’t even say “hickeys suck” without sounding like you’re trying too hard to make a pun.

To begin, John Green is awesome.

Ok, sometimes hickeys (also known as ‘love bites’) are not from sucking but from, ahem, biting. Which I find insanely hot. 

So, you know. Mileage may vary.

I actually really like having my neck licked/sucked on/bitten, so maybe don’t decry the hickeys :P

(Best makeout I ever had involved me getting SO MANY HICKIES that it looked like the dude had made a good faith effort to strangle me instead of mostly just kissing me. IT WAS AWESOME.)

See I love hickeys, but I like marks of ownership, bruises, brands, etc., so maybe it’s a D/s thing. Either way, it’s refreshing to see the things I like being called immature or pointless or weird or whatever as opposed to deviant and nasty and “you’re trying to be edgy”. A change is as good as a rest!
