lynxdaemonskye submitted: One more picture from the Museum of Osteology. I was surprised at the way a giraffe’s skull looks; I didn’t realize that the ridge in the middle of the forehead was bone, too.

WHOA THIS IS FANTASTIC!  Look at those hyper elongated cervical vertebrae!  And their ridiculously short humeri and the extended metacarpals and metatarsals!  Their skulls just look like gigantic llamas with horn cores.  This is amazing!  Thank you so much!

Where is this? I want to go there.

I can’t believe I’d forgotten this about Judi Dench.

It’s good to know that I share a hobby with the utterly splendid Dame Judi.

Found: Hobbit Moleskine. I think I got really lucky. They seemed to be listed as coming out Nov. 21st, and Amazon has taken down the listing. I will be getting more and using them for as long as I can.

Pictures don’t even show how beautiful this piece really is. I just sat through the last session a couple days ago. Took about 6.5 hours to complete, and worth every second. Done by Brandon Stewart at Silver City in Poulsbo, Washington (United States). Needless to say, i will be getting most of my work done by him.
